I note your comment about filtering your water and bottling. Think to add a ultraviolet sterilizer, or sterilizing tablets, as filtering even to 5 microns will not remove bacteria. Even though filter sellers claim it will. I have a refrigerator with water dispenser and ice cube maker. I have filter and ultraviolet installed.

We’ve been planning with great excitement our tript to Egypt in Nov/Dec. Just when we’re ready to book tickets, people have begun asking us if were sure that it was safe now with the war in the middle-east! We’re not extremely worried about being targeted as such for hate crimes, but does the war make any part of Egypt potentially unsafe? How about the Sinai peninsula.

If the water is bad in Egypt, then would washing hands from the faucet be dangerous to one’s health? Should one carry anti-bacterial hand sanitizer with them? Also do the restaurants use bottled water or do they filter their water? -Deb

I Have been back from egypt to weeks now but while i was out there i got severe diarrhea it has been two weeks now and the it has stopped but i go to the toilet 4 times a day and have no control when needing to go i have to stop what i am doing and run to the toilet i have taken imodiom and all the other medicines but they have not helped what could this be and what can i do to prevent it?

Its the worst pain of anyone’s life.In fact i think that the prevention is the only best cure of this Virus.Thoroughly clean and disinfect dishes, wash fresh fruits and vegetables completely after consuming them e.t.c.
