Is the spanish influenza of 1918 the same as the bird flu

40 million people died in the 1918-1919 due to the Spanish Influenza. Taubenberger when studied the matter found no evidence that it came from the birds. Hence the 1918 Spanish Influenza is not similar to Bird Flu.
