Food Poisoning Symptoms

Prevent Food Poisoning

As I am working as a Marketing Executive, I am forced to tour outside my town most of the time and I am pushed to eat in restaurants very often.  The circumstances are unavoidable and it gives great inconvenience for me.  Though I know very well that I am taking a lot of risk by eating outside, I am forced to opt for it due to the fatigue that I often suffer from at times of hunger.  When we cook in our kitchen for ourselves we prepare the food with a lot of care.  Cleanliness can be maintained.  But we cannot expect the same cleanliness and carefulness in the hotels, where they prepare food for many people. At restaurants, the food is handled by many. As a result, I have to take whatever is offered.

Ounce of prevention is Worth a Pound of Cure

If you want to avoid food poisoning symptoms to pop in and affect your daily routine, follow the simple but easy instructions discussed below.
Selection of food: Canned foods, meat, dairy produce are the common sources of food poisoning.  Meat has to be washed properly if you want to keep away from food poisoning.  The expiry date of canned foods has to be checked every time you buy them at your local mall. Never purchase a product with dent.  Dent can cause contamination in the food.  Do not neglect the warning of FDA for safety purposes.
Maintain perfect temperature: When you store things in refrigerator, remember to keep it in proper temperature.  Eggs, dairy products and meat require special attention.  The freezer should be set to zero degrees Fahrenheit and the refrigerator has to be set between 37-40 degrees.
Washing habits are good: Wash your hands before starting your cooking at home.  Wash your hands immediately after touching different food items.  After handling the meat wash your hands before you get in touch with the other food items in the kitchen.
