Where was influenza first discovered

Though several researches done by Herodotus 2400 years ago tried to bring out flu instances, the first human infection was identified by researchers Christopher Andrews, Wilson Smith and Patrick Laidrow in 1933. J.S. Koen in 1918 and Robert Shope and McBryde in the 1920s have been reported to have worked with this disease.

Stomach influenza does not mean anything as such. Stomach flu is the gastric flu that is commonly seen as the inflammation and infection of the intestines. Influenza relates to the infections of the respiratory system.

The Latin word, influentia and Italian word influence have combined together and given rise to the term influenza. However the scientific name of the influenza pathogens are the Orthomyxoviridae viruses (RNA viruses in particular)

Influenza pathogens are the RNA viruses that are categorized into the Orthomyxoviridae variants. Types include A,C and B. Here, the A and B variants induce pandemics while the C relates to infections in the respiratory system

Can you have influenza a and b at the same time

Early spring and early winter are the times when the influenza A viruses are visible. Influenza B viruses can be seen at any time in an annual year. Though bewildering and rare, it is possible that a person gets infected with both at a time.
