How long does it take for strep throat symptoms to appear

Strep bacteria linger in mouth and throat. For it to show up as symptoms, it would take 2-5 days. But you tend to spread the ailment during this time too

Signs mainly involve fever, soreness at throat, irritation of the tonsils, white or yellow spots in tonsils, swelling of the lymph nodes and stomach pain. Fever might be there. Malaise and tiredness are common too

It is an air borne infection. Just handshakes, cough and sneeze of patients can be carriers of this disease. Close contacts with infected people can spread the infection
