Doc said to bring the person as fast as you can because it may be a sign of something worst. A friend once had gastric flu and he didn’t even know that his appendix already exploded..

My baby girl is 5 weeks old and for the past few days she has been acting like her tummy hurts, she has had looser, more frequent stools, and she has been spitting up more frequently. Her pediatrician recently switched her formula to Enfamil Nutragmigen because she was having issues with constipation. Does anyone know if these symptoms could be just her body adjusting to the formula, or if she has a stomach virus? Thank you!

The doc just gave Hydrite to replace the lost sodium when he kept vomiting the other day. Drink plenty of fluids..

There is nothing more scary than watching your baby be sick. They can’t tell you what is wrong with them so you have a lot of guess work to do. If you are lucky enough to have health insurance you might be able to got to a doctor for help. But even then they are guessing.

11 to 11 say – The symptoms are like watery diarrhea with
the undigested food and gas formation in the stomach so you will fart a lot and there will normally also be some cramp.

If it’s a baby, I suggest trying Ensure or some other formula that has vitamins and nutrients. Water is good but you also want to make sure the baby gets plenty of calories and vitamins from what it is drinking.

If a baby has diarrhea, would it also be good to give them liquids with protein and other essential minerals and vitamins? That’s the one thing I worry about. I know when my older kids have diarrhea, I make sure they have plenty of water and if they can’t eat, I’ll give them a multi-vitamin. Deb

I found stomach bug is the serious matter for babies, It’s really ugly to watch a baby sick from these kind of problems it’s symptoms are diarrhea and vomiting and so drink plenty of water is the best process to get rid from this because it is caused due to lack of water and others.

It is important to provide proper and adequate amount of fluids when babies suffer from diarrhea so as to avoid dehydration.

I am expecting a baby and I really hope that all this bad stuff won’t happen to him. I would die if I will get to see him hurting.

Absolutely. Giving fluids must be considered if there is vomiting or diarrhea.
If the little one is old enough to eat, Applesauce will usually stay down and provide a little nourishment.

it is very important to drink enough fluids when the little ones suffer from diarrhea to avoid dehydration. I would not wish any baby the suffering of diarrhea.

The virus will be found in any of his bodily fluids and he will remain contagious for up to 72 hours after his symptoms have disappeared. Just disinfect the surfaces he touched just to be on the safe side. Usually if you have caught the virus symptoms will show within 48 hours -72 hours after infection, so when was the time you last saw him? Generally speaking the virus is concentrated to be in the urine and feaces of the child, but considering babies hands are everywhere just by touching him and then eating something without washing your hands could put you at risk. The stomach bugs aren’t really harmful, just horrible to have! The hayfever won’t make any difference to this situation, it won’t make you more or less likely to get the virus.

I had a real problem when my son got infected with the stomach bug.He had a severe diarrhea whereby every 40 minutes he release fluids. A swell you could have seen the movement of the stomach cramping. When it initially started he was also vomiting but a treatment stopped the vomiting after a day or two.

There is no magic answer. Some people lose the baby weight easier than others. The best advice will be healthy diet and exercise (assuming you are medically cleared for exercise). Any kind of cardio like running or swimming in combination with abdomin-specific exercise (don’t worry not just sit-ups, there are several stomach exercises to choose from) will get it jump started for sure.

people should check up their’s babies to doctor each week, to avoid any big problem.

Each stomach virus has its own seasonal activity and i think if you drinking water should be boiled and the utensils sterilized to control spread of this virus.
