Can vomiting come and go for days with stomach flu

    I have a three year old who has the stomach flu. She started off vomiting and then got a fever, followed by diarrhea. The vomiting lasted about 16 hours nonstop every 15 to 30 minutes. After this she got a mild fever followed by diarrhea for almost 36 hours. She then seemed to be ok eating breakfast and playing like normal. About 8 hours later she started vomiting again. Is this normal or is there something else wrong that I should be taking care of?
