Yes you can get an H1N1 flu shot while you have a cold. The Common Cold and Influenza are two completely different diseases. Since they are not related with each other you can easily have a H1N1 vaccine when you are suffering from cold

You are really allowed to take a shot of H1N1 because the influenza and the cold is not linking from each other and it will not affect the effectiveness of the shot.
