The main prevention of stomach flu is to maintain good hygiene. The virus is usually spread either by the fecal-oral route usually, due to contamination of food, water or hand to hand contact. Make sure that good hand hygiene is observed by frequent hand washing, preferably the infected individual having their own toilet and isolating whilst infectious from unaffected individuals.
