2010 influenza vaccine
A nasal spray-administered vaccine and a flu shot are the two basic 2010 influenza vaccines. ‘FluMist’ – the nasal spray vaccine – contains a ‘live’ viral strain and is ideal for healthy people aged between 2 and 49 years. What this vaccine does is to repel viral infections by strengthening nose linings. A flu shot contains a ‘dead’ or inactive virus and is recommended for people above 6 months of age.
